28 Day Challenge

What Will You Achieve in the next 28 Days?

Time seems to be a popular topic of conversation, with more and more people commenting about how quickly time flies, and how quickly the year is going. Yet too many people are living life on auto pilot and just existing going through the motions. Counting down the time waiting for something to happen.

The reality is we all have the same amount of hours in a day, a month a year.  There’s an average of 30.4 days in each month which means on average we have 43, 776 minutes each month.

The one thing that’s is guaranteed that time will pass regardless of what we do and how we choose to spend it. But the good news is we get to decide how we will make the most of the time we have, we can either leave it to chance or make some decisions and commitments and start living life on purpose, and with more of a purpose.

For a while now I’ve been running 28 Day Breakthrough Coaching for existing clients, helping them design, create and achieve the life they want.

And In July I shared a blog post about being ½ way through year, and setting yourself a 28 Day challenge to make a change, or improve some area of your life, by taking action everyday even if it was a small change.  Often the compounding effects of even the smallest changes, can lead to massive differences to you and your life. I’ve previously mention about the power of the 1% principle and the compounding effects of making small improvements.

Then I was thinking; Why not do The 28 Day Challenge every month?

So every month, let’s make a decision to do one thing to make a positive difference to your life or someone else’s.

Now ask yourself…

What’s the one best thing I can do over the next 28 Day’s?

Is there something you would like to change, achieve, maybe a positive habit you would like to develop, a positive contribution you would like to make?

Maybe you would like to;

  • Eat Better
  • Increase your fitness
  • Read more
  • Relax more
  • Get out and socialise more
  • Break a habit
  • Learn a new skill
  • Increase your self confidence/self esteem
  • Pay it forward with a random act of kindness

Why 28 days?

I’d like to set you the 28 Day Challenge, so you can apply this to any month, regardless of how many days are in that calendar month.

Plus it’s often stated that to make any change it takes on average 14 – 21 days to form a habit and make a change, so 28 days gives you more than enough time to form and embed a positive change and success habits.

Your thoughts and your actions move you either closer or further away from the goals and life you want. So…

What 1 thing can you do to move you forward?

Make a decision and do it every day for 28 days, its simple!

Make you commitment publicly go over to my Facebook, Twitter or Instagram page using  #28DayChallenge, do it on your own status and declare what you are doing for the next 28 days.

It really doesn’t matter to other’s what it is, how big or small it may seem to someone else, just do it for you.

Are you ready to create your own 28 Day success challenge? 

The reality is what gets measured gets done and you can’t manage what you don’t measure.  So you need to commit to a time, quantity and frequency and only then can you track your own progress.

If you are working towards a goal, or battling with anxiety or negative thoughts, simply make a commitment to focus on what you actually want, even if it’s just for a minute a day. I called this the Magic Minute.  Decide what time is best for you, set your timer and focus your thoughts and imagination on what you want. You’ll be amazed and how much you can achieve and what a difference this can make.

If your challenge is to read more, decide how much, or how long you want to read for, is it for 30 minutes, or a chapter, whatever you decide commit to it and just do it.

You must make a choice or things will never change!

What will you choose to change or improve over the next 28 days?

We all have the same 672 hours or 40320 minutes in the next 28 days, and they will pass by no matter if you take the challenge or not, but you can decide if you want to look back happy with the progress you have made, or frustrated with yet another month gone by with everything staying the same or worse!

Remember you will miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, decide if you are playing to win or playing not to lose, step up and just go for it!

My question to you is; What are you going to do with the next 40320 minutes?
