It’s time to set a #28DayChallenge for October!
What are you going to change or improve?
My October #28DayChallenge is to post one new video every day.
Well, I’ve been talking about and planning to do more videos for a while (years if I’m honest), but I just never seem to get round to it. Procrastinating, waiting until I have more knowledge, until I have all the right equipment, a better setting, and a wide variety of other reasons.
But I decided to put all that a side and just get started. After all that’s what I tell my clients to do everyday. Just get started, start where you are and learn as you go. The reality is I’ve learnt more than enough to get started, yes I need to learn more, yes I need to upgrade my equipment, but I’ll do that as I go.
The main reason for not doing it sooner is, it completely out of my comfort zone, all the other reasons, valid as they may be, are just excuses!
I’m more of an introvert than an extrovert, so being in front of any kind of camera doesn’t come naturally to me, yet I find talking easier than writing, so now seems like a good time to get out of my own way and just do it! The videos may not be perfect, I’ll probably stumble on my words, I’ll make mistakes, but the most important thing is I’ll get started from where I am now and I’ll get them done!
I’m most definitely going for progress and not perfection, the curse of perfectionism has got in the way for far too long!

Imagine that feeling of accomplishment when you look back in 28 days, what can you do that your future self will thank you for?
This reminds me of something I heard my friend and author Carrie Wilkerson say “There’s not much stretch in comfort, and there’s not much comfort in stretch”
Just take the first step and keep going, and before you know it something that was once a stretch will become more comfortable, or even natural and second nature to you, but either way you will have done it!
