Well today we are 18 days into 2016, and according to experts yesterday was the day that most people have given up and failed their New Year’s resolutions by. (Congratulations and well done if you have succeeded with yours!)
Today is also blue Monday, so it seems like a great opportunity to look at where you are,
decide where you are going, refocus and move forward.
If you don’t like the direction you’re going the, the outcomes you are getting, you need to change you actions, the way you feel and the quality of your thoughts.
Your thoughts lead to your feelings, you feelings lead to you actions and your actions lead to your results.
You need to choose what you want, commit to it and take continuous action towards it.
But it’s not always that easy..
Sometimes knowing what you want, and taking actions towards it isn’t always enough, because of your mindset, your thinking is based on your current subconscious programming, your beliefs, attitudes, behaviours habits etc
And with all good intentions and actions, if your programming is out of date, or not in alignment with your aims and desired outcomes, you will eventually encounter resistance, find yourself procrastinating, because you are working to out of date programming and limiting beliefs.
This in my opinion is a massive oversight, no it’s quite simply an Epic fail!
I was out with friends on Saturday and I got talking to someone I hadn’t met before, and they were curious about what I did and how it all works. (Which is the usual response when people find out what I do). And we were talking about how most people focus all of their efforts and attention on there physical being, what they eat and drink, exercise, getting the right amount of sleep, etc.. which are all important, but most people ignore thier mindset and just leave it to chance.
But if we want to change or achieve something, without changing your mindset, what will happen is, the moment you hit some kind of struggle, get knocked off course, get pushed out of your comfort zone, encounter some level of resistance, your subconscious will opt to take the path of least resistance and do what it always done. And as the saying goes, “do what you’ve always done and get you’ll get what you’ve always got.”
Quit simply I help people change their mind, the way they think, by changing their mindset, your subconscious programming your belief’s, attitudes, habits and behaviours. Once you change at this level, it’s like reprogramming your inner sat nav/GPS system and you can then start thinking differently, feeling differently, taking action towards you goals and getting more of the results you want.
So next time you find yourself struggling or feeling like you are going in the opposite direction from where you would like to be, stop giving yourself a hard time, and simply chose to develop your mindset and update the software of your mind.
Once you decide what you want, get clear on your why you want to achieve it, programme and focus your mind, and then take intentional actions towards it on a consistent basis. This combined with support and coaching along the way and you can then start achieving better quality results in your life.
What you do on a daily basis determines the quality of your life, your success, your happiness and the impact you make.
No one else can do it for you, if you don’t like something you first have to change the way you think about it…
Change your thinking and everything else follows
