Stop Comparing Yourself To Others – You Are Enough!
Have you ever compared your life to someone else, only to feel rubbish, insecure or even a failure, stay tuned as I reveal why you should stop comparing yourself to others and why you are good enough!
One of the main reasons I see people playing small and not fulfilling their potential with confidence, is because they are too busy comparing themselves to others.
Now if you compare yourself to others, and see other people as encouragement and inspiration to raise your game and be the best you can be, then great keep doing it.
But unfortunately, so many people are getting in their own way, because they’re comparing their life, the way they look, their success, their popularity to someone else.
And with the rise of social media, the curse of comparison, is a growing problem.
But it’s just not fair on yourself, how can you compare your life, your behind the scenes, with everyone’s highlight reel. We find ourselves losing perspective and reality, by comparing to others highlights.
Because that’s what it is, with the exception of a few, people only share their best bits, you don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, you don’t get to witness all their ups and downs, the sacrifices, the hard work and effort they’ve had to make.
We’re all different, we’ve all walked different paths, with different life experiences. So, it’s not a fair like for like comparison, you are making a comparison based on only a false perspective, a small fraction of their reality.
The truth is we don’t really want someone else’s life, we want our own life just better, and the 1st thing you can do, to make your life better, is stop comparing yourself to others.
It reminds me of these two quotes;
“You may think the grass is greener on the other side, but if you take the time to water your own grass, it would be just as green.”
“I’m too busy working on my own grass to notice if yours is greener.”
The reality is, you are the only person exactly like you, you are a unique one of kind, no- one can be you better than you. So, remember, you are enough, just strive to be the best you can be, aim to be better than you were yesterday. And stop the curse of comparison.
Maybe take a few moments to reflect on your strength and qualities.
But most importantly simply remember you are enough, so just be the best that you can be.
Remember – What your mind believes you will achieve – so think differently, believe in yourself, take action and achieve the life you want!
You Are Enough!
All the best
