Do you struggle to say no, do you need to learn to say no more often?
Coming up I’m going to share with you, why and how learning to say no more can positively impact your life!
No is one of the smallest words in the English language, but a word that so many struggle to say. Saying “No” really does cause anxiety for so many many people.
We often get caught up in other people’s agenda and we struggle to say no for the fear of letting them down and because we like to be liked and we’re people pleasers and we like to do things that please other people.
And it’s ok to do good and kind things for others, but often we can get in the habit of pleasing others to the point it can have a negative impact on our own life.
By learning to say no more often, can free space in your mind and your life, so you can choose to do things that are going to have a positive impact on your life.
Don’t get me wrong we all have responsibilities in our life, in our career, in our family, in our relationships, in our community, where we may have things that we need to do that we don’t always feel like doing, or we’d rather be doing something else.
But here we are talking about saying no to things that don’t add value to your life, saying no to the things that don’t move you closer to your goals and the life that you want.
So, let me ask you, is there something that you could say no to that would have a positive impact on your life?
It could be saying;
No to excuses.
No to negative self-talk.
No to wasting time.
No to unhealthy, unwanted habits.
No to drama or people who like to create drama.
No to people who drain you of time and energy.
No to Social media.
It could be saying no to yourself, not just saying no to other people and external factors.
So just take some time and ask yourself,
Is there anything I could currently say no to?
Saying no doesn’t make you a bad person, but it does free up sometime and headspace and put you back in the driving seat of your life.
Which means you are then choosing to spend your time doing things that are positive, empowering, that are in alignment and move you towards the goals and the life that you want.
So, if that’s something that you think will benefit you, have a look around your life, have a word with yourself and ask, is there anyone, or anything I can start saying no to more often and start taking back control over my time.
Please click here and leave a comment below the video and let me know what or who you are going to start saying no to.
No is just a small easy word to say, so just say NO!
Remember, what your mind believes you will achieve – so think differently, believe in yourself, take action and you can achieve the life you want!
All the best
