Relax and De-Stress – How Do You Relax and De-stress?

So what do you do to unplug, relax and re-charge?

This is a question I’ve asked thousands of clients over the years and for some it turns out to be a really difficult questions.

So many people find it challenging to answer, or at least come up with some ways they relax, or ideas on how they’d like to relax.

We often get so caught up with the demands and busyness of life, that we don’t have the headspace to even think about relaxing.

Firstly we must acknowledge that we all find different things relaxing, so there’s no right or wrong, but there are many different way to re-charge our batteries.

And that’s a really good way to think of it, when your phone or tablet’s battery is running low, sometimes you might give it a quick boost and other times you may give it a full charge.

The key is to prevent it from running on empty, so that’s why it’s important to establish some healthy lifestyle routines, that you can weave into the fabric of your life, that keep you balanced and charged, so your charge doesn’t run out!

Before you get creative and must first give yourself permission to actually take the time to switch off and relax, the times I’ve had conversation with clients and they’ve said they like reading or going for walks for example, but when I ask when was the last time they did it, they often cant remember.

I appreciate sometimes life or circumstances get in the way and there may be times when it is difficult to allow yourself time, but that why its important to come up with ways that allow you a quick boost as well as a full charges.

Also why it’s important, to include things that you do as a way of life, rather than feeling overwhelmed with something else you’ve got to try and do!

So your activity and your action step to take way from this video is, to get a pen and a piece of paper (old school is always the best) and ask yourself;

“How many different ways can I relax and unwind?”
