So what exactly is a gratitude attitude and how do we do it?


In this video I share the power of gratitude.


So what is attitude of gratitude?

Simply it’s the habit of expressing appreciation and thanks on a regular basis for the things in life we are grateful for, both the big and small things alike.

The power is in the process, the habit of expressing thanks this is what changes your mindset.

From a mindset perspective we get more of what we think about, our mind goes in the direction of our dominating thoughts.

So instead of focusing on what we don’t want, or what we don’t have yet, by developing your attitude of gratitude, you’re directing and training your mind to go in that direction and be more aware and mindful for all that you are grateful for.

So start practising gratitude for the things that you already have in your life now.

I often find clients get stuck and think they don’t have anything to be grateful for. But even on the toughest days, there will be things to be grateful for and remember it’s the practice that’s important, not just the things you are grateful for.

For example, if you’re watching and listening to this video, you may be grateful for your eyesight and your hearing, which allows you to watch and listen to enable you to develop and grow. You have access to electricity to use your device to watch now.

We have amazing technology, health, food, shelter etc.

There will always be someone in the world who is more fortunate than you, but equally there will be many who are less fortunate than you, so simply take the time to focus on what you are grateful for now.

So your action step for today is to start a gratitude journal and at the beginning and at the end of the day, reflect and write down the 3 things you are most grateful for. Remember as you write it down, write it with as much meaning and appreciation as you can.
