Think Differently And It Will Change Your Life.
In the last episode I shared some ways for how you can help manage your mental fitness during challenging times.
One of the ways I suggested was to shift your focus.
To shift your focus away from the things that you don’t want and start to pay more attention to the things you don’t want.
Take time to train your mind to focus more on the good, the positives, the things that you are grateful for, the things that you enjoy and take time to focus and nurture your mind on encouraging sources of inspiration, rather than the negativity in your life and in teh media..
As well as these ideas I wanted to share with you another way you can help train your mind and change how you feel.
And that is to focus your mind on what you are looking forward to.

I was talking with a client the other day, who has been working flat our for 18 months, with hardly anytime off, no holidays, so I took him through a guided mediation to imagine being on holiday.
I appreciate you can never fully replace the feeling and experience of being there for real. But you may be amazed how good it feels just imagining what you are looking forward to.
This helps because, the mind doesn’t understand the difference between real and imaginary, the mind and body releases similar chemical responses when we imagine doing something, to when you actually do it for real
Most worry and anxiety comes from playing out negatives scenarios and outcomes in your mind, when you think negatively it create negatives feelings, but it works the other way too.
When you picture, imagine and think about good, happy, calm relaxing thoughts, it creates the corresponding feelings that goes with it.
So, if ever you want to change your feeling take a few moments to stop, and tune in, meditate, reflect, or simply daydream and wonder about good thoughts.
Imagine it like changing the channel in your mind, stop playing things you don’t enjoy and start choosing to tune into something happy, uplifting, encouraging and enjoyable.
Be aware of what’s currently playing out in your mind and tune into to what you are looking forward to.
It doesn’t matter if it’s real, or imagery, just allow your mind to get playful and wonder about the things you’re looking forward to.
Remember our thoughts create our feelings, so if you don’t like how you are feeling, change your thoughts, when your change your thinking everything else follows.
Stop wasting time thinking about the things you don’t want.
And start thinking about what you are looking forward to?
