How Has 2021 Started Off For You?

Hello February, today is the 1st of February, it’s the first day of a new week and a new month, and it’s incredible to think where one month of 2021 complete already.

How has your 2021 starting out?

Have you made the progress that you would have liked to?

If you haven’t, don’t worry, you’re not alone and if you have, congratulations!

January can often be a bit of a strange month, even when we’re not in the midst of a pandemic.

Often, people set themselves grand intentions, they have all kinds of new year resolutions for the year to come and in truth, when people set new year’s resolutions, it’s usually only a couple of weeks in before they fall by the wayside.

And certainly, by the end of January, most people have lost focus and knocked them on the head.

The reality is, every day, every week, every month is a great new, fresh opportunity to refocus, to reset, to relearn and to move forward.

So, before you get caught up in the busyness of a new month, take a couple of moments and look back at any lessons, any learning’s, any insights that you’ve gained that you want to take forward into the month ahead, and maybe take the opportunity to refocus and reprioritize.

And remind yourself that you’ve still got 11 months of the 2021 ahead of you.

So, what can you do?

How can you prepare yourself?

How can you prepare your mindset to ensure that you achieve the year that you want and maybe even have your best year yet?

In the last couple of episodes, I’ve shared with you the importance of getting clear on what you want to achieve, then getting in habit of taking the time every day to focus on what it is that you want to accomplish and then creating a plan to make it happen. To devise an action plan of what you’re going to do every day towards making that happen.

So, whether you reflect on your life goals on a weekly basis, a monthly basis,  just don’t leave it for something you only do once a year.

I think it’s incredible that people will spend more time planning their weekly shop, their annual holiday (when they could go on holiday) a night out, a home improvement project, then they do their own life.

So, take a couple of moments to think about, and really get clear on the possibility that if you can achieve anything in the year to come, what would you like to achieve?

If you could break down some of your bigger goals for the year down, that you would like to achieve, enjoy and accomplish into monthly actions.  It can really help to have an overview of the monthly steps to focus on that is going to help you make it happen.

Take a couple of moments to think about your bigger picture, your bigger vision for the year ahead, and then break that down into those smaller monthly tasks, and then set yourself a 28 day challenge, for every month.

Choose and decide, what one thing are you going to do this month to help make it happen.

What can you do this month next month that is going to move you forward?

What one action can you do every single day in that month that will move you forward to achieving the goals, the life, the habits that you want to achieve in your life.

Take the time to get clear on your next step for the brand new month, the brand new day a head. It’s fresh start, to take forward any learning’s from the past and move forward with that clearer fresher focus, so that you can make it happen!

Remember, what your mind believes you will achieve. So, think, differently, believe in yourself, take action, or you can achieve the goals and the life that you want. You’ve just got to make it happen.
