What Is Holding You Back From Achieving Your Goals?

Why Knowing What You Want Is Sometimes Not Enough!

Have you ever felt frustrated because there’s something that you want to change, or make happen, but you just don’t seem to be able to do it, or at least stick to it consistently?


And that’s because sometimes knowing what you want alone, isn’t enough.

Now, I’ve talked in previous episodes about the importance of getting clear on what you want. And then also coming up with a game plan, an action plan for making it happen.

But even then, sometimes, we get frustrated because it doesn’t seem to click, something doesn’t quite fit together.

And that’s because of our mindset, our thoughts, our feelings, our beliefs, our programming and conditioning is sometimes out of alignment with what we want.

It’s almost like we’re running to out of date programming, our programming may have served us useful purpose or benefit once, but it may no longer be in alignment with the things that we want, for where we are in our life now.

So, that’s where the frustration comes in, consciously we know we want to achieve something, we want to move forward, part of you wants to accomplish something. But there is another part that’s primary function is to preserve and protect us, that is keeping us stuck and fixed where we are.

Recognizing that is the first step in being able to change it. Once we are aware, then there are definitely things that you can do to help make it happen.

That’s what I want you to take away from this episode, the realization that if you ever find yourself feeling as if you’re held back, you’re stuck and frustrated, then rest assured that it is possible that you can change your mindset and get your mindset in alignment with your actions, that will move you towards achieving the goals and the life that we want.

But also know, there are some things that you can do yourself.

I’ve talked before about the importance of setting up daily habits, rituals, routines, behaviours. All of these are really important, but to get any real long last benefit, repetition is the key, you have got to do these on an ongoing consistent basis.

So, decide what you can do on a regular ongoing basis, that’s going to help support you in moving you closer towards the goals and the actions that you would like come up with.

But remember doing it once isn’t enough doing it a couple of times, isn’t enough, doing it for a few weeks might help, but for ongoing long lasting change and transformation, it’s got to become part of your automatic habits and behaviours, and that takes a quite a bit of time, repetition and perseverance to create on your own.
