100 Days Left: How to Reset Your Mindset and Finish the Year Strong
Reflect, Refocus, and Realign for Momentum in the Final Stretch of the year!
There are 100 days left in the year.
That’s enough time to make massive progress, to create a real shift, and to finish strong. But only if you choose to use it wisely.
Here’s the trap I see all the time:
- Some people panic and overcommit.
- Some lose momentum and wait for “next year.”
- Others feel stuck and do nothing at all.
The truth? 100 days is plenty. It’s the sweet spot: long enough to create compounding results, but short enough to give you urgency and focus.
And here’s the best part: whether you’re reading this at the end of September with Q4 about to begin, or at any point in the year, you can use the next 90–100 days as a powerful window to reset, refocus, and make meaningful progress.
Why 100 Days (or 90) is the Perfect Window
Think about it this way:
We often overestimate what we can do in a week… but underestimate what we can do in 90–100 days.
That’s why this timeframe is so powerful. It’s short enough to stay focused, but long enough for habits to compound and results to build.
It’s the same approach I use with many of my clients – setting clear plans and targets for the next quarter. A 12-week cycle gives you urgency, clarity, and momentum.
So don’t wait for the perfect calendar date. Pick your start point, commit to the next 90–100 days, and watch how much you can achieve.
Step One: The 3R Framework – Reflect, Refocus, Realign
This is the same framework I walk my private clients through at key milestones.
- Reflect: Take stock of the past 9 months (or your last cycle). What worked? What drained you? What progress did you make?
- Refocus: Get clear on the 1–3 priorities that will really move the needle in the next 90–100 days.
- Realign: Reset your daily actions, rituals, and mindset so they actually support those priorities.
When you do this, you stop scattering your energy across everything and start directing it towards what truly matters.
Step Two: Use the S.H.I.T.E. Framework to Reset
To finish strong, you need to check in with your foundations. That’s where S.H.I.T.E. comes in:
- Self: Do you believe in yourself enough to go after your goals for this next cycle? If not, what do you need to strengthen that belief?
- Habits: Are your daily routines helping or hindering you? One or two simple, consistent habits can completely shift your trajectory.
- Identity: Who do you need to become to achieve your results? Align your self-image with your desired outcome.
- Thoughts: What stories are you telling yourself about “running out of time”? Catch and reframe them into beliefs that fuel you forward.
- Energy: Protect your battery. You wouldn’t let your phone run to 0% – don’t let it happen to you. Build in resets to recharge and sustain momentum.
When all five areas are aligned, you’re unstoppable.
Step Three: Build Momentum with Small Wins
Big results don’t come from giant leaps. They come from small daily wins.
That’s why I often encourage clients to use my FOCUS30 Method: choose one non-negotiable action and commit to it for 30 days.
It could be:
- Writing daily LinkedIn posts.
- Moving your body every morning.
- Reaching out to one new prospect a day.
- Journaling your wins before bed.
The compounding effect of these small wins will carry you forward with energy and belief — especially when you celebrate them along the way.
Reflection Questions
- What’s worked well for me so far this year (or in my last cycle)?
- What drained my energy or slowed my progress?
- What are my 1–3 true priorities for the next 90 – 100 days?
- Who do I need to become to achieve them?
- What small daily action will I commit to right now?
In Summary: You Still Have Time
100 days – or the next quarter – is enough time to transform your results. But only if you choose to use it with intention.
Don’t panic. Don’t give up. And don’t try to do everything.
Reflect on where you’ve been.
Refocus on what matters now.
Realign your self, habits, identity, thoughts, and energy.
Then take consistent daily action – and celebrate every win.
Because brick by brick, step by step, you can still finish the year strong and set yourself up for your best year yet.
Whatever the date on the calendar, if you’re ready to reset your mind and refocus your energy, get in touch. Let’s work together to help you make the most of the next 90 – 100 days – so you can finish strong and set yourself up for the results you really want.
All the best
